Nose: Very expressive, rich, and fresh, with notes of red fruits: redcurrant and raspberry.
Palate: Rich and fleshy, this Juliénas reveals a good balance between structure and ripe fruit.

Pairing: Grilled beef, veal, coq au vin.

Terroir

Juliénas is located in the far northwest of Beaujolais, bordered to the south by the Chénas appellation and to the northeast by the Saint-Amour appellation.
The AOP Juliénas covers four communes: Juliénas, Jullié, Emeringes, and Pruzilly.
The "Les Mouilles" climate is located above the village of Juliénas, south exposition. Coming from clay and schist soil, it can be enjoyed both young and after a few years in the bottle.

Winemaking

Hand-harvested from mid-September onwards, when the grapes are fully ripe.
Semi-carbonic maceration for 10 to 12 days (whole bunches) in cement vats before pressing.
Temperature-controlled during alcoholic fermentation.
Malolactic fermentation is 100% complete.
Aging in vats for 6 to 8 months before filtration and bottling.
