Juliénas is located in the far northwest of Beaujolais, bordered to the south by the Chénas appellation and to the northeast by the Saint-Amour appellation.
The AOP Juliénas covers four communes: Juliénas, Jullié, Emeringes, and Pruzilly.
The "Les Mouilles" climate is located above the village of Juliénas, south exposition. Coming from clay and schist soil, it can be enjoyed both young and after a few years in the bottle.
Hand-harvested from mid-September onwards, when the grapes are fully ripe.
Semi-carbonic maceration for 10 to 12 days (whole bunches) in cement vats before pressing.
Temperature-controlled during alcoholic fermentation.
Malolactic fermentation is 100% complete.
Aging in vats for 6 to 8 months before filtration and bottling.
