Terroir

The soil in AOC Côte de Brouilly consists of granite and shale with the famous blue stone.
The vineyard of "Domaine Sigaux" grown on the steep slopes of Mont Brouilly, with south exposure. Terroir of unique homogeneity in Beaujolais.

Winemaking

• Hand picked at full ripeness of the grapes in late September • Semi-carbonic maceration 10 days (part destem) in cement tanks before pressing• Alcoholic fermentation temperatures under control, residual sugar <1 gr. alcohol content: 12.5 °• Malolactic fermentation done at 100%• Aged in casks 35-45 hl for 8 months First bottling in early spring
